No one can deny the importance of teamwork.Even birds and animals follow the principles of team work to achieve their common goals for their mutual benefits.Geese are migratory bird and fly in flocks to migrate to far flung places and can fly for dozens of miles in a day.In order to successfully reach their desired destination they follow principles of team work with discipline which they seem to have in their inherent nature. From Geese we can learn how team work and joint efforts can produce positive synergy in achieving our common goals that we share with our team members, friends or associates in any personal or business venture. However, sucessful team effort demands dedication, unity of purpose, discipline and commitment to stick together till the achievement of goal .The results of many people pooling their energies and intellectual abilities together for achievement of common purpose and goal are much more fruitful and easier to achieve than solitary efforts. Here are some good lessons of team work that we can learn from Geese:
As each goose flaps its wings it creates an uplift for the birds
that follow. By flying in a 'V' formation the whole flock adds 71
percent extra to the flying range. This approach helps geese benefit from each other in making them fly with less effort and resistance.
Lesson
Lesson
When we have a sense of community and focus, we create trust and can help each other to achieve our goals.People who share a sense of common direction and community can get to their destination easier and quicker because they take advantage of thrust and support of each other in moving forward.
Fact 2 - Importance of Staying Together for Common Goal
When a goose falls out of formation it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of flying alone. It quickly moves back to take advantage of the lifting power of the birds in front.
Fact 2 - Importance of Staying Together for Common Goal

Lesson
If we had as much sense as geese we would stay in formation with
those headed where we want to go. We are willing to accept their help
and give our help to others. We share our strengths with others to get to the destination easier and quicker.
Fact 3 - Importance of Sharing & Taking Turns Doing the Hard Task
Fact 3 - Importance of Sharing & Taking Turns Doing the Hard Task
When a goose tires of flying up front it drops back into formation and another goose flies to the point position. In this way geese take turn to share leadership and doing hard tasks and no one gets tired. This helps the whole flock of geese travel longer distance than they would have otherwise traveled if there were only one leader of the flock.
Lesson
It pays to take turns doing the hard tasks and sharing leadership. We should respect and protect each other's unique arrangement of skills, capabilities, talents and resources.
Fact 4 - Importance of Empathy and Understanding
When a goose gets sick, two geese drop out of formation and follow it down to the ground to help and protect it. The healthy geese stay with the sick goose until it is able to fly again or it dies. Then they launch out again with another passing flock or they try to catch up with their own flock.
Lesson
If we have as much sense as geese we will stand by each other in difficult times, as well as when we are strong. So we should extend our support and protection to those who fall ill or who become weak somehow so that they may again become energetic and effective enough to become good team players.
Fact 5 - Importance of Encouragement

Fact 5 - Importance of Encouragement
Geese flying in formation 'Honk' to encourage those up front to keep up with their speed.
Lesson
We need to make sure our honking is encouraging. In groups and teams
where there is encouragement, productivity is much greater. 'Individual
empowerment results from quality honking'
There are many lessons and signs of wisdom that a man can learn from birds and animals that reflect the beauty of nature.
