Photoshop is a photo editing software that you can have fun with to do amazing photo-editing and tricks with your photographs.Here is how you can render selective coloring effect in Photoshop:

The image used in this post is not very colorful.To better visualize the selective coloring effect it would be better to use an image that contains multiple colors.
- Select those parts of image that you want to retain their colors by using 'Maganetic Lasso Tool'
- Once you have you selected your target area of image right click on the selected area of your image a short cut menu will pop up.Left click on 'Copy Via Layer' option.This will create a new layer which we call as color layer and the other one as background layer as shown below: This allows you to copy the selected area of your image on an other layer.
- Now you to render the background layer black and white ,you need to desaturate the background layer by clicking on 'Desaturate' as: Image > Adjustments > Desaturate The resulting desaturated background image is shown below: This will render the image on background colorless.
- The final resulting image is shown below which is obtained by mergeing the to layers by selecting : Layers > Merge Visible Option or by clicking 'Shift+Ctrl+E' It will render all image excpet image of woman in this picture black and white.
