Fujifils's FinePix Real 3D System - World's First 3D Imaging System

The Fujifilm is a global technology leader in the field of 3D imaging technology.Fujifilm's 3D imaging system is the world's first imaging system, which includes a 3D digital camera  "FinePix Real 3D W1",an 8-inch 3D image viewer "FinePix Real 3D V1 "and 3D prints. With this imaging system you can enjoy 3D images and photos without using special glasses. With this imaging system your family photos and images seem to leap off the paper. The pictures taken with Fujifilm's 3D camera can printed on a special 3D paper.Fujifilm has also developed its 3D printing service for printing 3D images on special 3D paper. The 3D images captured by this camrea may also be viewed on the on-board display of 3D camera.

With the aim to  "capture precious moments just as the eyes see them",the Fujifilm unveiled its ground-breaking 3D imaging technology on 22 July 2009.Fujifilm's FinePix Real 3D W1 is the world's first 3D digital camera. This camera is fitted with two lenses lying at a distance apart equivalent to the distance between human eyes. This camera uses "lenticular technology" to produce 3D images. The images taken by these two lenses are interlaced on a furrowed surface to create a stereoscopic illusion.
This technique has been around since 1940 and was being used typically on novelty items and stickers for two-frame animations like a winking eye. However, this technology is now being used in sophisticated 3D products like gaming consoles and 3D billboard posters. To achieve excellence in 3D imaging technology the Fujifilm has developed, over the years, its own Fujion lenses,CCD and Processor.
FinePix Real 3D W1 Camera : The Fujifilm's 3D digital camera,FinePix Real 3D W1, is equipped with "FinePix Real 3D Lense System" which includes two Fujion lenses, which have very high resolution and are renowned for  their extraordinarily fine rendering. These two lenses, fixed a certain distance apart, capture the same image at slightly different angles from the same scenery thus producing two images which differ slightly. These two images are flawlessly interlaced together using 3D image processing technology thus creating a 3D natural image which appears to have depth as well. The phenomenon due to which human eyes can discern depth of an object,by viewing it simultaneously from two different lines of sight,is called 'Parallax'.To protect these two lenses from vibration and impact a die-cast aluminium frame has been used so that ultimate accuracy may be achieved.A 3x optical zoom is indeed quite difficult to achieve in 3D photography because of the precision needed to align two lenses.

The Fujifilm's 3D digital camera, because of its sophisticated image processing capabilities and cutting-edge technology, is equipped with 3x optical zoom.The Fujifilm's 3D digital camera is equipped with "RP (Real Photo) Processor 3D" which is based on photo-technology that Fujifilm has itself developed through a lot of research and development in 3D imaging technology.Due to two CCD sensors,the Fujifilm's 3D digital camera is equipped with, this camera is capable to determine shooting conditions such as brightness, tonality and focus. These parameters, associated with shooting conditions, are also depicted in the stills and videos shot by this camera. The camera is equipped with 2D/3D LCD screen to view 2D/3D images captured by the camera.standard 2D images may also be captured with this camera. Its dual capture shooting mode allows you to simultaneously take two shots with different settings. Its 3D LCD allows you to view 3D images live while images are being shot.Despite all the advanced and cutting-edge technology under the hood, from user's perspective this camera is quite easy to use.
FinePix Real 3D V1 Picture viewer : The Fujifilm's FinePix Real 3D V1 is an 8.0 inch 3D picture viewer on which you can enjoy high resolution 3D images captured with 3D camera without wearing special 3D glasses. It supports  playback of natural 3D stills and videos. Its 3D/2D LCD panel features 480,000 dots (800x600 dots) resolution. To hookup this picture viewer with computer and 3D camera it is equipped with a USB interface. It is equipped with easy to use touch interface. It also supports SD/SDHC memory cards. It is also capable of receiving image data via Ir Communication interface.

This image viewer adopts a "Parallax Barrier System" to appropriately direct light to left and right eyes in a way that simulates parallax which allows natural viewing of 3D images without wearing special 3D glasses.
Fujifilm's 3D Print System : Fujifilm's 3D Print System allows direct printing of high quality 3D images on lenticular sheets.Fujifilm's 3D printer DPR-1 is compact in size and supports various size printing and print variation.

It supports four print sizes i.e. 6"x4",4"x6",5"x7" and 6"x9".Any one print size may be chosen from these four print sizes.Using "Image intelligence" and "3D image processing" it can produce 3D prints of very fine quality. It allows various printing not only regular 3D prints but also composite prints with 3D templates, using propriety image processing technology. This printer is equipped with USB 2.0 interface. Its internal memory is 128MBs.It weighs approximately 48Kgs and its dimensions are : 45.1(W)x41.5(D)x90.4(H).

Further details about Fujifilm's 3D Imaging system may be found at the official website of Fujifilm.
